West Midlands Wedding Magician

Performed at a lovely wedding a few weeks ago, massive marquee in the garden – yes it was a massive garden with stables and its own car park. Weddings have to be my favourite times for performing close up magic, everyone is in such a good mood.

The weather was spot on, warm sunshine, inside the marquee got quite hot when the meal was served so I took my jacket off while the main course was being taken. Returning to the spot where I’d left my jacket I found it had gone, or rather didn’t find it, it had gone (I think you know what I mean). With the aid of a helpful guest the jacket was found – being worn by the photographer. He was about 3 stone lighter than me and hadn’t noticed the extra weight that a pack of cards, several coins, pieces of rope and other bits and bobs bring. he was obviously engrossed in his own job, like me he couldn’t afford to get things wrong.

I’d been booked as the West Midlands Wedding Magician to perform during the meal and later when evening guests arrived. As is the case nowadays several people go ‘outside’ for a smoke, and whilst entertainment outside has its difficulties, weddings seem to be different. While I was outside I’d worked to a group of young men who appeared very pleased with what I was doing, one of the lads came to me later after talking his sister into booking me for her wedding in the very near future. Which was nice. (Thanks – The Fast Show).

Have lots of weddings booked from now through to September, looking forward to them, lovely days to work.
